TIPS: How to Start a Winning Podcast?

TIPS: How to Start a Winning Podcast?

Many people are planning to start not just a podcast, but a winning podcast (I’m sure you too, that’s why you’re here!). It’s totally fine because podcasts are huge moneymakers and an interesting activity to do. In fact, there are already 850,000 existing podcasts worldwide as of 2020.

I know you have heard different news of failed podcasts too, which may be, pushes you to step back on doing so. I’m telling you, it is not a reason not to try podcast! Besides, to launch and sustain a podcast is never easy. You have a long list of the planning process: making a Podcast’s name, who’s your target listeners, who to interview, preparing for the equipment you have to use, writing scripts, and more. You have to go through a lot of interruptions before you can finally hear a successful recording. By this time, you can actually do something to turn it into a winning podcast!

So here, I will be giving you TIPS that will ensure you a winning podcast!

  • Begin small, and grow through the process There will be times when things may not go as planned and expectations might not be met. For example, your listeners for your first podcast didn’t even reach 100. That’s alright! Earning lots of listeners may even take you many years, but what’s important is you gain listeners. You don’t have the best quality of your equipment? Then focus more on your content until you can finally upgrade your equipment. See, success does not happen in a snap. Just take your time and grow with your audience.
  • Own your podcast Lead your audience on what podcast you are making. You can do this by simply discussing your content. Make sure they can smoothly follow on every episode you release because it’s a great way to indirectly tell your listeners, “I’m very much prepared for this podcast, so it’s definitely worth your time”.Further, you can also show your listeners that you’re owning your podcast by having content of your own expertise. You know it’s very risky and hard to talk about something you don’t even know.
  • Show some enthusiasm This is actually the easiest thing to do in order to have a winning podcast because the moment you decide to start a podcast, you must already have the enthusiasm within you and it will eventually reflect on the episodes you release. Further, this will boost your listeners’ engagement towards your podcast because they see you enjoying it too. Well, the law of attraction. Now that you have unlocked the secrets toward a winning podcast, there’s no turning back! Go get your pen and paper and start planning the steps you have to take. It’s the perfect time to start your own podcast. Who knows, your podcast might be the next popular podcast all over the world. Again, the law of attraction.

And the podcasting – I swear to you – on its worst day, the podcasts are better than our best films, because they’re more imaginative, and there’s no artifice, and it’s far more real.” – Kevin Smith.

  1. Unlocking Us with Brené Brown

I’ve spent over 20 years studying the emotions and experiences that bring meaning and purpose to our lives, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned it’s this: We are hardwired for connection, and connecting requires courage, vulnerability, and conversation. Therefore, I want this to be a podcast that’s real, unpolished, honest and reflects both the magic and the messiness of what it means to be human. Episodes will include conversations with the people who are teaching me, challenging me, confusing me, or maybe even ticking me off a little. I’ll also have direct conversations with you about what I’m learning from new research, and we’ll do some episodes dedicated to answering your questions. We don’t have to do life alone. We were never meant to.
